EXCELLENTBased on 51 reviewsVerifiedClaudia Castillo2024-08-22Beautiful Reflective Poems that inspire growth!!! I bought this book inspired by a beautiful family photo and thought the author had almost my last name. Is this a conscience, I thought? The truth is that I am a newbie to poetry, and this book has inspired me to start reading more poetry. Thank you to Renzo del Castillo, the author, for opening his heart and connecting with us in such a powerful way. I will recommend it.VerifiedAmelie Bauer2024-08-08Wow An absolutely amazing poetic story that fills the soul in a certain type of way. Understanding the author’s journey from one area of the world to another is beautiful, powerful, and emotional. There’s nothing like this out there.VerifiedHealthy Wealthy Wise Artist: by Lara Bianca Pilcher2024-08-07Renzo's Poetry has heart, depth and profound beauty! I had the pleasure of interviewing Renzo on the Healthy Wealthy Wise Artist Podcast, where he shared insights about his remarkable poetry collection, STILL. During our conversation, he read one of his poems live, and its profound meaning and beauty deeply moved me.Renzo is not only an exceptionally talented poet but also a genuinely kind and insightful individual. His work reflects a deep understanding of creativity and art, exploring their intricate connections with the human condition. Through his poetry, Renzo bridges gaps and offers readers a rich tapestry of emotion and thought. STILL is a must-read for anyone who appreciates the power of words to inspire and transform. Highly recommended!VerifiedAmazon Customer2024-08-06A thoughtful poet's view -- always relatable, always honest I loved this book of poems so much. I could relate to the honest descriptions of family and lovers, I enjoyed reading several out loud, for Renzo has the gift of sound and rhythm when he writes. I love that there are Spanish and English versions of some poems -- it adds even more depth. I "heard" Pablo Neruda in some of these poems (who I love) and I was reminded of Joni Mitchell and her poetic lyrics too. This book of poems is a magical journey shaped by the events of Renzo's early life and big family shifts. An honest poet's story. I had the pleasure of interviewing Renzo for my podcast "The Storied Human" and he was so relatable and gave so much of himself in the interview. I enjoyed hearing his story and it's here too, in his poems.VerifiedVincent A. Lanci2024-08-05Incredible piece of literature I was gifted a copy of this book and am grateful I did. It opened my eyes to a new world in poetry. Renzo's dedication to making this book authentic and impactful is extremely evident. His storytelling ability and ability to connect with the reader are top-notch. Well done, Renzo.VerifiedJessica Hwang2024-08-02Still is a beautifully intimate collection I was introduced to Renzo del Castillo when he was a guest on my podcast, Permission to Flow (formerly A Way of Thinking), and I'm so happy that our paths crossed. His collection of poems is deeply moving and intimate. From poems on the immigrant experience to past lovers, each poem expresses a moment of navigating this human experience. My favorite poems were "Brothers" and "Gavel" which really hit home for me. Each of us will find something different that we connect to in this beautiful collection of poems. I highly recommend reading the book and seeing what comes up for you.VerifiedKarlos Reyes2024-07-31Excellent/Personal/Well written Renzo remind us that in stillness we can connect with our feelings. He has executed that very well within this poetry book. There are so many poems that are not only related to, but I can feel the emotion that Mr. Del Castillo is Conveying. This book is absolutely worth it and I encourage anyone who is reading this. Please go ahead and purchase "Still". Two thumbs up. I would give it more thumbs up, but I only have two hands🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼VerifiedCamilo2024-03-30Words that will stay with you This collection of poems is personal, but I saw myself in quite a few of them. Castillo's perceptions of his life and the people in it, have got me wanting to do more writing, traveling, experiencing, and sharing my life more with others. I'd rather not compare him to other poets, so hopefully other readers will enjoy his uniqueness as much as I do.
“These are the kind of poems that will inspire you to write, and the kind that you will return to, again and again. Renzo Del Castillo paints landscapes of memories and cities in such a way that you feel as if you are reading a photograph that was taken at just the right moment.”
— Tiffiny Rose Allen, Author of At The Beginning Of Yesterday
Read this book carefully, Renzo must be read carefully because he writes like that, carefully, with purpose. Each author must be read like this, as they are, to understand them. Sometimes you have to play background music, other times you have to take them to a bar, other times to a forest, other times under the sheets. You have to read Renzo in silence, in a hotel lobby.”

“Still de Renzo Del Castillo lleva tu corazón a un viaje romántico de ensueño a través de paisajes exóticos, como Montmartre, Antigua, Lisboa y Bali, para mostrarte todos los diferentes tipos de amor que podemos tener la suerte de experimentar en nuestra vida. Es sin duda uno de los libros de poesía más inspiradores
que he leído en mucho tiempo. No pude dejar de leerlo.”
— Annie Vazquez, autora de My Little Prayer Book: Poems, Prayers and Mantras for Illumination
“Still es un libro cautivador que tiene matices de los Beats y Pablo Neruda en todo momento. Su estilo es conciso e impactante mientras explora el amor, la inmigración y más a través de historias e imágenes vívidas. Still está
bien construido y con los pies en la tierra.”
— Matt Nickles, autor de We Were Fire in the Night
